SMTP Relay Service
In the SMPT Relay Service, SMPT relay servers for the customers’ domains are provided on our backbone to provide either SMTP relay function or SMTP backup function.
Since the SMTP server is operated and managed by us, you do not have any burden for operating the server. You can use this service by setting mail distribution routings and policies for firewalls.
By using the SMTP Relay service, you can enjoy more stable and secure Internet e-mail environments.
To use the server as a SMTP relay server for transmitting mail
It is possible to use the server as a SMTP relay server for temporarily receiving e-mail from the external Internet to the customers’ domains.
When e-mail is transmitted to the external Internet, mail can be distributed collectively from our SMTP relay server.
To use the server as a backup server for receiving mail
It is also possible to use the server as a backup server while your mail server acts as the primary SMTP server.
When the server is used as a backup server, the SMTP relay server instead of your mail server receives mail temporarily and then continues to execute the transfer operation until your mail server is restored.
It is also possible to use the server as a primary SMTP server for receiving e-mail sent to the customers' domains from the external Internet.
Illegal relay measures
Since the server is equipped with illegal relay measures as well, it is possible to prevent your mail server from becoming a stool of SPAM mail etc.
To restrict SMTP communications
It is possible to restrict SMTP communications from the external Internet more strictly by applying specific security settings for the firewall.
